How Does It Work

Beads
You can make a bracelet, necklace or earrings. Do not worry if you have not made jewelry before, we will teach you what you need to know your first visit. You can take your piece home the day you make it.
Pottery
There are 250+ piece of pottery that you can choose to design and over 150 glazes. We have many design tools: stencils, stamps, pencils, masking tape, etc. Our staff will provide ample instruction. Once you finish designing your piece, you leave it at The PotteryWorks, and we will have it ready for you one week later.

Frequently Asked Questions

What if I do not finish my pottery in one seating?
If you do not finish, you can come back free of charge and finish your piece. We store your piece up to one year.
What is the studio fee?
The studio fee includes all of the materials and the firing of the piece.
How much does it cost?
The average cost for both beads or pottery is $15/ person.
Can I use the kitchen items?
Yes. All of the glazes are non-toxic and food safe.
Can I put the pieces in the microwave or dishwasher?
We do have a disclaimer that your piece could be damaged by the microwave or dishwasher, but I have never had a problem.
Do I need to make an appointment?
No appointments are necessary.
Reservations are recommended for large groups.
Do you ship?
Yes, we do ship pieces. The cost is minimal:
The typical cost is $5/one piece and $6-7/ two pieces.
Where can we park?
We are across the street from the Prince Street Parking Garage, around the corner from the Hagar Parking Lot (near Central Market) or park in front of the store.
